About The Position

Johns Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP) is looking for an Office Medical Director to join our Home-Based Primary Care Program in Baltimore, Howard County, and Anne Arundel County in Maryland. This growing program focuses on high needs geriatric home-limited patients and provides high-touch, comprehensive primary care. The Office Medical Director (OMD) will be a practicing physician who is also responsible for oversight of all provider clinical and patient care activities in an office practice. This includes participation in provider recruitment and retention, provider staffing, provider performance evaluation, provider discipline and corrective action plans and provider scheduling. The OMD and Practice Administrator (PA) work together collaboratively and effectively to manage the responsibilities and duties inherent in the office practice. OMD Specific Duties and Responsibilities include Budget Responsibility. Participates in the development of annual operating and capital budgets while monitoring actual expenditures against the budget. Coordinates procurement of supplies and equipment and maintains appropriate inventory management and budgetary controls. Complies with JHCP financial policies and procedures. Recognizes and encourages efforts in cost effectiveness and works to implement cost effective initiatives.

Requirements

  • MD License in the State of Maryland required.
  • CPR Certification required.
  • 3 years of experience required.
