Purpose: The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing daily office operations while leading a team of Billing Coordinators and Operational staff. A key responsibility of this role is to continuously evaluate operational workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and alignment with business goals. This role serves as both a people leader and process owner.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of operations experience; specific experience in electrical commercial or industrial construction
  • Advanced analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong familiarity with project management, billing and ERP systems
  • Demonstrated background in process improvement and operational excellence
  • Excellent communication and change-management abilities
  • Demonstrated experience diagnosing and fixing operational roadblocks and bottlenecks

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of Billing Coordinators and Operational staff
  • Assess operational workflows; identify inefficiencies and gaps
  • Design and implement new workflows; improve processes to meet business needs
  • Partner with leadership to align operational changes with strategic priorities
  • Manage change effectively by communicating clearly, supporting teams through transitions, and ensuring adoption
  • Establish metrics and reporting to measure the success of operational improvements
  • Set clear expectations, priorities, and performance standards
  • Oversee day-to-day office operations to ensure efficiency, organization, and compliance
  • Identify risks or bottlenecks and implement corrective actions
  • Improve billing workflows to increase efficiency and reduce errors; ensure adherence to financial controls and internal policies
  • Support planning and execution of broader operational initiatives
