About The Position

Brainard Funeral Home in Wausau, Wisconsin is seeking a full-time Office Manager to oversee daily office operations and serve as the primary point of contact for families, visitors, and staff. This role helps create a welcoming and professional environment while supporting funeral directors and leadership with administrative, financial, and communication needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
• Prior administrative or office management experience preferred
• Experience with basic accounting or banking tasks preferred

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with social media platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome visitors; answer incoming calls
• Provide information and direct inquiries to appropriate staff
• Manage daily office operations and maintain a clean, organized environment
• Oversee scheduling, calendars, and office coordination
• Handle accounts receivable/payable and basic banking tasks
• Maintain financial records and documentation
• Organize and maintain files, documents, and records
• Assist with data entry, reporting, and administrative support
• Manage office supplies and place orders as needed
• Support social media updates and online presence
• Coordinate internal and external communications
