Travelzoo's New York office has an opening for an Office Manager. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the office and supporting various administrative functions. The Office Manager will assist with the planning and logistics of new hire orientations, training sessions, HR events, and office/company meetings. The ideal candidate will be motivated to provide general administrative support, including facility management and equipment maintenance, while also handling ad-hoc queries and troubleshooting as required for our New York office and remotely assisting additional offices as needed. In this position, you will be responsible for setting up and managing postal administration, suppliers, and ensuring that the office is stocked with stationery and kitchen supplies. Building and maintaining relationships with vendors is crucial. You will also liaise with cleaning contractors and the building manager regarding facility management and maintenance. Managing office-related expenditure is another key responsibility, which includes recording and processing invoices as well as reporting expenditure. Additionally, you will manage Health and Safety and fire regulations, desk moves, and office renovations. Confidentiality and discretion are paramount in this role, as you will be expected to communicate effectively with employees and business leaders about HR-related matters. You will play a significant role in nurturing a positive working environment by conveying the company values and mission statements, setting the tone for a healthy company culture.
