Dewberry has an exciting career opportunity for an Office Manager/Senior Water Resource Engineer in the North Central Florida Water Market. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering field is required; advanced degree or equivalent industry experience preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience with advanced water and/or wastewater projects with increasing levels of project engagement.
  • Florida PE license is required.
  • Experience working with multi-disciplined design team.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Ability to apply engineering principles and best practices to ensure the efficient and effective treatment of water and wastewater within our scope.
  • Proven ability to effectively achieve positive results in marketing and business development including experience preparing proposals (technical and cost) for municipal and private clients.
  • Experience managing a team of professionals with a wide array of skills sets.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, sub consultants, and county/agency review staff.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight, guidance and mentoring to staff within the Gainesville office.
  • Responsible for project management, client relations, and sales activities.
  • Preparation of studies for facility master planning, alternatives analyses, feasibility studies, and preliminary engineering reports.
  • Coordinating with staff from multiple design disciplines.
  • Development of design documents and specifications and obtaining permits from regulatory agencies.
  • Make site visits to pursue project leads.
  • Participation in the preparation of qualifications and proposals.
