About The Position

Kennesaw State University is seeking a dedicated individual to provide administrative and clerical support to the Office of the President and the Office of the Provost. This role involves greeting visitors, managing phone communications, assisting with meetings and events, and providing high-level customer service. The position requires attention to detail in processing purchases, managing office supplies, and maintaining department records. The successful candidate will also assist with budgetary matters and may supervise clerical staff or student assistants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Three (3) years of related administrative, office, or clerical experience.

  • Previous experience with office management or staff supervision.
  • Previous experience in higher education.
  • Previous experience with finance (i.e., purchasing, accounts payable, budgets).
  • Previous experience with calendar management.

Responsibilities

  • Works under the direction of both the Office of the President and the Office of the Provost.
  • Serves as receptionist for the Office of the President and other administrative divisions.
  • Answers the Office of the President mainline phone and provides information.
  • Assists with meetings, events, and other administrative projects.
  • Provides high-level customer service and administrative support.
  • Processes, analyzes, reviews, and submits complex purchases.
  • Researches and submits purchasing requests for office supplies and services.
  • Processes KSU Foundation reimbursements and payments.
  • Assists with management of office equipment inventory and office moves.
  • May assist with employee onboarding or offboarding.
  • Maintains email, voicemail boxes, and filing system.
  • Receives and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Manages supply inventory and submits invoices for payment.
  • Prepares department meeting agendas and notes.
  • Creates and maintains office-related records and reports.
  • Oversees and coordinates day-to-day office operations.
