Under the direction of the Executive Directors of School Leadership, the Office Manager is the senior clerical staff member in the Office of School Leadership, supporting department administrators directly and the mission of Stafford County Public Schools (Stafford Schools). The successful candidate will have strong task management skills, provide strong customer service to stakeholders, and show attention to detail in writing and data management.

  • Serve as Administrative Assistant to the Executive Directors of School Leadership.
  • Provide clerical support such as answering phones, sorting and distributing mail, and preparing documents.
  • Collect, prepare, check, and review data for records and reports and oversee the daily work activities of the office.
  • Work in collaboration with the school leadership team to maintain appropriated budget funds, spending, etc.
  • Prepare and maintain digital documents at the request of the school leadership team and develop and maintain a filing system.
  • Direct informational requests to proper respondents.
  • Assist with administrator hiring processes, including interview scheduling and material preparation.
  • Support Stafford Schools and School Leadership events, such as principal meetings, community partner events, employee recognitions, and school board meetings.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development relevant to position.
  • Respond promptly and thoroughly to written and oral requests for information.
  • Maintain a clean, neat appearance, appropriate to position.
  • Maintain a record of appropriate attendance and punctuality.

  • Work in close harmony with colleagues, supervisors, and co-workers.
  • Comply with all District and School policies and regulations, including but not limited to guidelines for confidentiality.
  • Perform other related duties as required/assigned.
  • High school diploma, G.E.D., or any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school, supplemented by courses related to clerical techniques and office procedures
  • Knowledge Standard office practices and procedures, equipment, and clerical skills; thorough knowledge of English grammar, usage, spelling, punctuation and computation skills.
  • Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
  • Maintain organization and order with other administrative assistants.

  • Meet deadlines for all work even when working on multiple projects
