Requirements

  • Knowledge of a variety of computer software including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to react and respond appropriately in emergency situations.
  • Ability to effectively and tactfully communicate both verbally and through written communication.
  • Ability to maintain rapport with internal and external stakeholders and conduct themselves with a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to hear radio and monitor calls and warnings, even in loud, hectic, and busy situations.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of the college's mission, purpose, and goals, and office manager's role in achieving them.

Responsibilities

  • Provide secretarial/clerical support to the department, including filing, records retention, duplication, typing, word processing, and faxing.
  • Serve as receptionist for the Campus Police and Visitors Information Center.
  • Monitor police radio, weather radio, robbery alarms, and emergency phone and dispatch information appropriately.
  • Compile and maintain information for use in various reports.
  • Process information from traffic violations to computer on 'holds' screen for collection at Cashier's office.
  • Order and maintain office supplies, equipment, brochures, and decals.
  • Assist in preparing annual budget.
  • Distribute parking decals to faculty, staff, and students.
  • Keep foyer stocked with applications, schedules, and catalogs.
  • Supervise and schedule work-study students.
  • Maintain file of daily events and extra activities on campus.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
