Cariati Truck & Equipment, LLC is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our team in Wallingford, CT. This full-time position is essential for the smooth operation of our heavy trucking and construction company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. This diverse role requires a multitasker who is familiar with accounting principles and capable of setting priorities effectively. A sense of humor and a team-oriented attitude are essential, as the candidate will be expected to pitch in wherever needed. In this role, you will utilize Peachtree and QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate record-keeping and financial reporting. You will also be responsible for reconciling financial data, preparing balance sheets, and generating financial reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is crucial for data analysis and reporting, as well as familiarity with other office software such as Word and Outlook. Knowledge of DOT rules is a plus, but not mandatory. The position requires a proactive approach to overseeing office operations, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. This is a full-time position with a pay range of $25.00 to $32.00 per hour, depending on experience. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, and the role is based in an office setting in Wallingford, CT.
