About The Position

The Office Manager plays a vital role in supporting the Offices of Academic Advising and Family Engagement, reporting directly to the Director of Advising and the Executive Director of Family Engagement. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient administrative operations and providing exceptional service to students and families.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to university technology platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors to the Advising Center and Family Engagement, offering guidance and information.
  • Manage incoming phone calls and emails, ensuring prompt and appropriate responses and forwarding to relevant staff as needed.
  • Assist in budgeting and purchasing processes, adhering to University and Commonwealth protocols.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, planning, and catering arrangements for Advising Center and Family Engagement activities.
  • Maintain and update websites related to the Advising Center and Family Engagement to ensure current and accurate information.
  • Manage staff calendars to facilitate efficient scheduling and communication.
  • Support communication and coordination efforts related to placement testing.
  • Utilize university content management systems to support the Advising Center and Family Engagement teams effectively.
