About The Position

As Kalmbach Feeds continues to grow, we are looking for passionate, hard-working team members that live our values and help us create new ideas, serve customers, improve our processes, build teams, and manage our growth. The Nutrition Intern will work side by side with company Nutritionist. They will assist individuals in a variety of areas such as formulation, production, research, safety, and quality, to implement process improvement initiatives. A successful individual will be able to communicate as appropriate to both staff and management to ensure a collaborative work environment throughout process changes. Primary Responsibilities Assist nutritionists with day to day objectives and projects Assist with data entry and tasks for research studies Complete ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by nutritionists Learning Outcomes Understanding of how animal nutrition and feeds business interrelate Gain knowledge on feed formulation and industry regulations Gain knowledge on research and the application in feed Gain knowledge on how production goals and strategies impact nutritional decisions The Right Candidate: College junior or senior working towards a degree in animal science/nutrition or related field Excellent written and verbal communication Able to visit commercial farms and work with animals Have a passion for agriculture Able to handle multiple assignments and tasks simultaneously Happy to spend the Summer in Upper Sandusky, OH About the Company: Kalmbach Feeds offers the highest quality nutritional products for livestock, poultry, and companion animals.
