About The Position

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Office Engineer for employment for a project in New Jersey. The Office Engineer (OE) is responsible for setting up, maintaining and closing out the project records. The Office Engineer will work closely with the Resident (R.E) and the Construction Manager (CM) to ensure project records are prepared in accordance with contract and applicable client manuals and policies. The Office Engineer will work with Inspectors to ensure all reports are complete, accurate and free from mathematical errors.

Requirements

  • BA/BS in engineering or related field + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • OSHA 10.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working for construction contractors(s) in New Jersey.
  • OSHA 30.

Responsibilities

  • Oversight and maintenance of project record logs, including but not limited to logs for all Submittals, Payments, RFI's, CO's, WST's, Subcontractor tracking, NCR's, CPM submissions, SAR's.
  • Organize records in a way that makes it easy for the CM/RE and other project members to access the appropriate documents via Project Information System (PIMS) and other means.
  • Assist the RE with the processing and reviewing of Progress Payments for Contractors.
  • Assist the CM with handling of ODC requests and expenditures for required upkeep of CM Trailer Complex.
  • Provide assistance to the Construction Manager and Resident Engineer in drafting letters and replying to Client requests for information.
  • Prepare drafts of monthly PMIS reports for review by CM/RE.
  • Assist CM with preparation of monthly Client presentations.
  • Attend meetings to prepare meeting minutes with action items, and to properly file I&T reports in PMIS.
  • Assist the RE with maintenance of records for the Inspector's test reports.
  • Follow-up with lead inspectors and project administration staff for completion of critical issues and tasks.
  • Monitor Contractor turnover of all Spare Parts and Operations and Maintenance Manuals to Plant Operations.
  • Monitor all Training sessions between the Contractor/Vendor and Plant Operations for all projects.
  • Maintain tracking logs for the Closeout of all projects that have reached Substantial Completion.
