Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience in a medical office setting, and knowledge of medical terminology and office billing practices is a plus!
  • Professionalism: You'll maintain a polished, professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively communicate with both staff and patients are key. You should be comfortable managing tasks, delegating, and resolving conflicts as they come up.

Nice To Haves

  • Practice Management Experience: While it's preferred, we're happy to consider candidates who have experience in a similar administrative role in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Office Operations: You'll be in charge of managing the practice's day-to-day functions, including overseeing scheduling, billing, and resolving patient or staff concerns to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Assist the Physician: You'll support the physician by managing tasks, coordinating communication, and handling anything that helps improve the efficiency of the practice.
  • Handle Scheduling & Calls: Scheduling appointments and answering calls with professionalism is a big part of your day. You'll be the go-to person for keeping everything organized and running on time.
  • Inventory & Purchasing: You'll manage the ordering and inventory for the office, making sure we always have the supplies we need and overseeing all purchases.
  • Promote Professional Development: You'll help foster growth within the team by identifying training opportunities and encouraging staff development.
  • Foster Effective Communication: As the go-between for staff and physicians, you'll ensure everyone stays informed and the lines of communication stay open.
  • Work on Performance Improvement: You'll actively participate in improving the practice's operations, ensuring we continue to provide excellent care to our patients.
  • Navigate Insurance Issues: You'll use your knowledge of insurance to help ensure patient care is handled appropriately, including resolving any issues that may arise.
