Responsibilities

  • Oversee outpatient registration service and scheduling of patients.
  • Coordinate demographic and insurance intake, computerized registration, and scheduling.
  • Verify insurance coverage for patients with a customer service focus.
  • Orient patients to the center and coordinate additional services as needed.
  • Answer phones and assist customers, fulfilling cross-trained responsibilities.
  • Maintain daily scheduling status and address potential problems with corrective actions.
  • Complete patient pre-registration, registration, and insurance verification per center standards.
  • Greet patients, assist them, and notify appropriate staff of patient arrivals.
  • Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, confirming appointments, and handling mail.
  • Set up, maintain, and discharge medical records in a timely manner.
  • Process monthly patient satisfaction questionnaires according to center standards.
  • Record insurance approvals and documentation in the medical record and computer system.
  • Enter and reconcile therapy charges as assigned.
  • Complete additional department or organizational activities as per established objectives.
