About The Position

The Vending Attendant is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction at assigned client locations by delivering and stocking products, maintaining equipment, and providing excellent customer service. This role involves merchandising, product delivery, cash handling, food safety, sanitation, and machine maintenance, all aimed at enhancing the customer experience and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • High-School Diploma or GED.
  • Prior retail experience and familiarity with basic merchandising concepts preferred.
  • Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Merchandise products according to store layouts and plan-o-grams designs.
  • Roll-out promotions and obtain customer feedback.
  • Maintain established inventory levels for all products sold.
  • Count, record, and follow ordering protocol for inventory.
  • Restock shelves, coolers, and vending spirals.
  • Follow protocols for inventory tracking and rotating of product.
  • Collect and record out-of-date, rejected, or unsold merchandise.
  • Review inventory requirements to identify needed products for each point of sale.
  • Load and unload products using proper safety protocols.
  • Drive vehicle to points of sale to deliver merchandise.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with management regarding routes and scheduling changes.
  • Collect money from kiosks and vending machines.
  • Replace bill changers and refill coin tubes.
  • Follow cash handling and loss prevention protocols.
  • Record transactions on appropriate forms and/or handheld device.
  • Monitor and report any suspicious activity.
  • Ensure proper handling and refrigeration of perishable items.
  • Perform routine cleaning of vending machines and related equipment.
  • Greet clients and customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to address questions or concerns.
  • Provide suggestions related to products and solutions as needed.
  • Teach customers how to use machines and kiosks.
  • Conduct minor repairs and adjustments on machines.
  • Report complex machine issues to Service Central.
