This role is also responsible for ensuring all shipments are closed, dispatched, and all paperwork is processed correctly. In this role you will also be communicating with internal customers, transportation, and external customers regarding shipment statuses.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Minimum 3 months and up to and including 1 year related experience and/or training
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to organize and execute work tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Ability to lift 50 LBS consistently with or without reasonable accommodations

Nice To Haves

  • Some college experience preferred
  • Experience with warehouse equipment including warehouse management system (JDA experience preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Assigns and monitors the work including staging, wave times and pick assignments for various teammates.
  • Batches all incoming orders together by client, service level and order type.
  • Allocates all LTL/FTL (International and Domestic) shipments for processing.
  • Controls the priority and pick levels of each order and maintain priority of emergency orders.
  • Ensures communication between pickers and replenishers for stock replenishment needs and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Assists the staging and shipping of products from the dock which includes QC loads, loading, manifesting and finally closing of the trailers to be released
  • Scheduling LTL, verifying inbound and outbound appointments.
  • Preparing billings from tariff, complete manual BOL according to type and weight of freight or merchandise
  • Ensuring that each load gets shipped correctly and timely to avoid missing deliveries or lost goods
  • Ensure that inbound shipments are received in a timely manner and are directed accordingly
  • Communication with yard jockey and security to coordinate trailer placement
  • Communication with carriers and brokers to keep appointments aligned
  • Creation of transportation equipment in WMS
  • Investigates shipper or consignee complaints regarding lost or damaged merchandise or shortages in shipment to determine responsibility
  • Directs and coordinates activities concerned with the documentation and routing of outgoing and incoming freight
  • Reviews documents to ensure that assigned classifications and tariffs are in accordance with mode of transportation and destination of shipment
  • Ensure special shipping requirements are adhered to prior to shipment of goods
  • Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing goods

  • Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hands. Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand
  • Picking, pinching, or otherwise working with fingers primarily (rather than with whole hand or arm as in handling)
