About The Position

The Office Billing Specialist - Data Entry position at Cardiac Solutions is responsible for the accurate and timely posting of all charges and payments to ensure maximum reimbursement for services performed by physicians. This role plays a crucial part in the billing process, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Requirements

• Experience in medical billing and coding.
• Proficiency in using billing software, specifically Centricity.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with medical staff and patients.
• Knowledge of CPT and diagnosis coding.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve charges entered by physicians for all office locations.
• Post monies collected at all office locations.
• Confirm charges are entered into Centricity with correct CPT and diagnosis codes before approval.
• Resolve upfront claim edits and errors.
• Ensure compliance with carrier regulations regarding billable services.
• Follow up on all missing charges, diagnosis codes, and claims on hold for further information.
• Communicate with doctors and back-office staff for billing necessities.
• Complete assigned batch with daily charges within the required 3-day protocol.
• Batch and submit claims daily.
• Assist department staff with projects.
• Maintain patient confidentiality by following HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.
