About The Position

This position serves as the central administrative hub for Clinical Services, providing high-level clerical and operational support to the Clinical Services Supervisor and multidisciplinary staff. The role manages complex correspondence, maintains critical records for audits and compliance, and coordinates reports, meetings, and data tracking across multiple systems. As the primary point of contact for staff, attorneys, families, and external agencies, this position ensures accurate communication and the timely processing of sensitive documentation. The position plays a key role in keeping Clinical Services operations organized, compliant, and running efficiently within a fast-paced correctional environment. Requirements

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience.
  • Requires ability to keyboard accurately at 45 words per minute.
  • Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.
  • Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
  • Required to utilize digital technology, tools, platforms, and processes in managing and supporting various digital enhancements for greater efficiency, productivity, and digital transformation efforts within the department.
  • Applicants are required to abide by all vaccine and/or other medical standards as set out by the employer.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as unit secretary for the Clinical Services Supervisor.
  • Serves as receptionist for Clinical Services.
  • Composes, maintains, and processes various documents which includes confidential and sensitive material.
  • Serves as designated staff member for initial contact and dissemination of information to attorneys, individual in custody family members, court officials and state agencies.
  • Assists other Clinical Services staff in the performance of duties and serves as back up to other Office Associates.
  • Orders office supplies and equipment.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
