About The Position

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced clerical, office, and receptionist duties by greeting all customers in a professional and friendly manner, whether on the phone, online, and in person.
  • Provide routine information and referrals to students, departments and colleges as needed.
  • Use a computer daily to access multiple computer programs including Banner/WyoWeb, Handshake, Navigate, MS Access/Excel/Word, and WyoCloud.
  • Perform financial processing duties in WyoCloud, organize data, and oversee functions of reconciling p-card logs, create IDT's for office purchases, track and pay outside invoices, deposit money into proper accounts from fees assessed for employer events.
  • Oversee office supplies and equipment. Perform associated analysis and interpretations related to record keeping and reporting of both.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing with a wide range of individual and constituencies. Utilize a multi-line phone system and refer callers as needed.
  • Refer and assist employers either on the phone or in-person; assist them with routine requests. Provide routine training to students and employers on the Handshake software computer application and procedures.
  • Hire, supervise and train student employee(s) in an office setting. Determine work schedule and job duties/assignments. Update office policy and reference manual on an ongoing basis.
  • Revise office forms and front office procedures; assist with developing functional procedures as they pertain to the academic advising and career counseling/services components.
