About The Position

The Office Assistant III – U performs difficult and responsible office and clerical work.

Requirements

  • Four (4) years of related clerical and/or administrative support work experience.
  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate
  • Intermediate skills in the use of computer hardware and software such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation, and internet applications.

Responsibilities

  • Processes a wide variety of transactions.
  • Provides direct assistance to specialist and professional staff.
  • Conducts special management studies requiring written presentations of findings, recommendations, forecasts, and justifications.
  • Maintains computer-based records.
  • Receives and reads incoming correspondence.
  • Prepares responses where appropriate.
  • Consolidates annual funding estimates from subordinate offices into a complete budget request.
  • Compiles and summarizes information and data; identifies inaccuracies or anomalies in the information; and makes written recommendations to resolve discrepancies.
  • Schedules appointments and makes travel arrangements.
  • Prepares and maintains time and attendance records.
  • Complies with applicable safety rules and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties and projects as assigned at the discretion of the supervisor.
