About The Position

ChristianaCare Primary Care at Medical Arts Pavilion II is looking for a detail-oriented, adaptable, and highly organized Medical Office Assistant II with strong communication skills and the ability to proactively solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Primary Care at Medical Arts Pavilion II is in Newark, Delaware. Primary Care at Medical Arts Pavilion II offers a comprehensive practice that includes pediatrics, family medicine, and internal medicine. The team of physicians, assistants, and nurse practitioners provides expert care for newborns, children, and adults, including gynecology, women's health, vaccinations, and physical examinations. The Medical Office Assistant II is the first point of contact, ensuring a welcoming, efficient environment by assisting patients, managing appointments and records, training staff, and supporting workflow to deliver a positive patient experience.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • 2 years’ experience in a medical office setting is required; 3 years’ experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years’ experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The Medical Office Assistant II manages patient interactions, scheduling, records, referrals, insurance verification, and payments, including day-end reconciliation.
  • They train staff, handle inventory, coordinate testing and appointments, support administrative tasks, ensure safety compliance, and maintain professionalism while performing other related duties as needed.
