About The Position

The Office Assistant at HMC Specialties Holyoke Medical Center plays a crucial role in supporting the administrative functions of the OB/GYN practice. Requirements

  • High School Graduate.
  • Experience working with third party payers.
  • Working knowledge of ICD-9 and HCPC coding preferred.
  • Two years of experience in a physician's office or similar environment preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and carry out all administrative functions for the office.
  • Provide administrative support to physicians/providers.
  • Greet patients and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
  • Check for updated demographic and insurance information.
  • Collect encounter forms, co-pays, and any additional appropriate fees at check-out.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments for patients.
  • Accurately enter outpatient orders into the Medical Center's Order Entry System.
