About The Position
The Pierce County Sheriff's Office is a full-service agency that provides law enforcement, jail, court security, and civil processing services to all areas of unincorporated Pierce County, and the contract cities of Edgewood and University Place. The Sheriff's Office is comprised of 638 commissioned law enforcement and corrections staff and 67 civilian personnel. Together, these dedicated employees support our 3 bureaus, including Services, Corrections, and Operations. You will join a team or unit located at the Sheriff's Office Headquarters, Jail, Soundview Building, and/or the Public Disclosure Unit. This position may involve exposure to the inmate population in our maximum-security correctional facility or review of confidential and sensitive information, including crime scene photographs, videos and/or reports.
