As an Office Assistant 2 with the Alaska State Troopers B Detachment, Judicial Services, you will properly receive, prioritize, and accurately process in ARMS (Alaska Records Management System) and APSIN (Alaska Public Safety Information Network), all court paperwork including but not limited to; warrants, summons, subpoenas, protective orders etc. You will assign and correctly return all court service paperwork to the correct courts. Additionally, you will verify identifying information on the person to be serviced through APSIN and ACOMS (Alaska Corrections Offender Management System), including whether the individual is incarcerated and where. You will review documents received from local courts for completeness and assign for service through the Palmer JS (Judicial Services) unit in an organized and timely manner. You will also enter all warrants and protective orders into ARMS/APSIN and perform a second party check prior to entering into NCIC (National Crime Information Center). Furthermore, you will answer incoming telephone calls and in-person inquiries concerning court paperwork, take messages and/or direct to the appropriate individual or office.

  • High school diploma or the equivalent.
  • One year of experience that includes clerical tasks such as greeting clients, answering phones, typing, filing, sorting mail, entering data, receiving payments, making change, or maintaining logs.
  • Experience working with and maintaining the integrity of confidential/sensitive information.
  • Behaves in an honest, fair and ethical manner.
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness in performing work.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to new information and changing conditions.
