About The Position

Temp Essential Duties and Responsibilities Enter Shipment Details & Ship with FedEx, UPS, and Commercial LTL Carriers (Estes, Yellow, Conway…) Shop for competitive rate quotes for trucking Study Vendor Routing Guides to properly ship larger customers avoiding chargebacks Work with the Purchasing Department on inventory levels, office supplies, and warehouse purchase requests Review Receiving Reports for incoming containers and check for damages and quality issues Track inventory and orders to update figures in our software Track and update each order from Order Entry to Shipping to Invoicing and Back Orders Warehouse Support Responsibilities (as needed) Assist warehouse staff with pulling, checking, and staging orders during peak periods or special projects. Help verify pick accuracy by matching pulled product to packing lists and customer order details. Support basic packing and labeling of parcel and LTL shipments when required to meet shipping deadlines. Participate in periodic cycle counts or physical inventories, including counting, tagging, and reconciling variances. Help organize warehouse project work (re-slotting, zoning, labeling, and basic housekeeping) to improve flow and storage efficiency. Operate basic warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and carts after receiving proper training and authorization. Coordinate with the Warehouse Coordinator and leads to prioritize which orders or projects need hands-on support from the office team. Requirements

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required, some college-level coursework preferred.
  • Experience: One year of equivalent on-the-job experience
  • Flexible in a dynamically growing and evolving company
  • Ability to stay on task, stay focused, and adapt to a changing workflow
  • An excellent communicator with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Stable and dedicated to individual development, scheduled tasks, and customer service
  • Ability to work all day from an office desk and work within a warehouse environment
  • Thrives under pressure in a team setting and likes to stay busy and motivate others!
  • Ability to use Microsoft Windows and MS Office software
  • Knowledge of WorldShip, ShipStation, FreightView, or similar Shipping Software
  • Knowledge of MAS90 or Sage Experience, or related ERP program
  • Comfortable occasionally working on the warehouse floor (standing, walking, light lifting up to 25–35 lbs)
