Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of payroll processing experience required
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy, especially in payroll processing.
  • Solid understanding of payroll practices, wage laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and payroll/timekeeping systems.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Reliable, ethical, and team-oriented.
  • Commitment to supporting plant safety and environmental programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or related field preferred.
  • Manufacturing or hourly workforce experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for all plant employees, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Manage and audit hourly timecards, attendance records, and pay adjustments.
  • Track and administer employee time off, including vacation, sick leave, FMLA, and other leave programs.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, responding to employee payroll-related inquiries.
  • Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of all employee information.
  • Generate payroll-related reports, including headcount, overtime, and labor metrics.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record retention for payroll and compliance purposes.
  • Maintain attendance and discipline records to support reporting and compliance.
  • Oversee and provide updates on employee leave of absence cases (FMLA, short-term disability, etc.).
  • Support onboarding processes and coordinate with Talent Acquisition on hiring activities as needed.
  • Handle employee requests related to attendance, payroll, and general administrative concerns.
  • Maintain and organize employment and medical records.
  • Provide general support to employees regarding company programs, policies, and resources.
  • Order and maintain office and project supplies.
  • Answer incoming calls and greet visitors, directing them appropriately.
  • Maintain filing systems (electronic and paper) and assist with document preparation.
  • Provide administrative support to operations management as needed.
  • Maintain company records, including company vehicles.
