About the position
The Offensive Coordinator/Teacher is responsible for providing students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. The role enables students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. The position requires collaboration with other staff members to determine instructional goals and methods, as well as the development and delivery of lessons according to established guidelines. The teacher will also support students enrolled in various programs and participate in campus improvement plans.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with staff to determine instructional goals and methods.
- Develop and deliver lessons according to Texas Education Agency guidelines.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement.
- Create a classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Implement multi-tiered systems of support for students.
- Monitor and report student progress according to guidelines.
- Submit grades in accordance with district grading policy.
- Participate in professional development activities.
- Analyze data to determine and address individual student needs.
- Maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, and parents.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements.
- ESL Supplemental certification.
- Knowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS).
- Skill in using technology as a learning tool.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in curriculum design and implementation.
- Familiarity with effective instruction and evaluation methodologies.
