About The Position

This position is a 12-month position and will primarily provide coaching functions and duties to student athletes. An Offensive Coordinator in football is responsible for developing and executing the team's offensive game plan, including play calling during games, overseeing all offensive position coaches, analyzing opponent defenses, and making strategic adjustments to maximize scoring potential, essentially leading the offensive side of the team under the direction of the head coach. An individual in this position is expected to perform additional job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse student population.
  • Ability to perform work beyond a standard 40-hour work week when workload requires.
  • Either a copy of, or authorization for, a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of Coaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design offensive strategies based on opponent's defensive tendencies, player strengths, and situational factors.
  • Decide which plays to run during a game, often communicating with the quarterback on the field.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of position coaches for the offensive line, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, and quarterbacks.
  • Break down game film to identify strengths and weaknesses of the offense and the opposing defense.
  • Design and implement practice drills to develop offensive skills and game strategies.
  • Work with individual players to improve their technique and understanding of the offensive system.
  • Assist the Head Coach in identifying and recruiting prospective student-athletes.
  • Determine when to sub players based on situational needs.
  • Analyze the first half of the game and make necessary offensive adjustments for the second half.
  • Participate in the selection and fitting of team equipment.
  • Promote the athletic program and specific sports through community events, public speaking, fundraising, and marketing.
  • Ensure adherence to all Association, Conference, and College rules by athletes and supporting staff.
  • Monitor academic progress and status of team members, implementing action plans through appropriate staff when needed.
  • Monitor and maintain the discipline and conduct of student athletes to support the image and reputation of the athletics program.
  • Perform other job-related duties and projects as assigned in support of the College's mission, core values and goals.

Benefits

  • Salary of $25,000.00 per year.
