Offbearer For Cut Off Saw

About The Position

This position is responsible for catching and stacking stock off of machine. Offbearer for Rip Saw and Moulder: Catches and stacks stock off machine, work in-sync with operator. Must detect and notify operator of defects and keep count of stock correctly. Offbearer for Cut Off Saw in addition to Rip Saw must also: Round Table – Stacks and counts the lumber cut Cubing Lumber – Figures the square footage of the lumber to be purchased Diesel Forklift – Must be trained to operate the diesel forklift to help unload the lumber from the truck when it comes in and move the lumber to the Cut Off area Scheduling – Must be trained to schedule the lumber to be cut. Back up to Lead person when needed Observes plant safety rules. Keeps work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull, and bend over the course of 8 hours.
Must be able to lift boards of 30 pounds or more.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous Offbearer experience a plus
