About The Position

This position is located outside the plant. It is part of the receiving department which consists of driving the yard truck to move and park trailers and trucks as needed during the entire shift. Completing initial safety check/inspection of the yard truck and getting this documented accordingly on the inspection form. Constant communication with the supervisor and receiving team is necessary to understand trucks that need backed in and out of the receiving dock during the shift. Monitoring the radio constantly and responding immediately to anything that is needed or requested by supervisor or shipping & receiving team members. Assisting receiving team members unload trailers as needed. Timely communication with the supervisor about any issues during the shift. Performing any other duties as assigned/requested by Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must have 6 months experience operating 18 wheeler/ shag truck with trailer (Can be a combination of employers as long as the experience is at least 6 months.)
  • Must be able to back trailers using mirrors
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have valid state issued driver's license.
  • Have no DWI/DUI conviction within the past 12 Months.
  • Applicants must be able to work with others to adhere to Tyson's safety culture.
  • If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for a visit to the facility.
  • If you were previously employed at Tyson, there’s a 180-day waiting period before you can reapply.
  • Applicants who have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times are not eligible for rehire.
