About The Position

The Off-Site Manufacturing Project Engineer Intern may assist the project team or department manager(s) in the following areas: coordination and planning to support the integration of OSM applications and components with site logistics, subcontractors/vendors, manufacturers, and field inspections, quality control, schedule management, estimating, BIM/VDC, safety and/or document control, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Teams).
  • Experience with project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Primavera Project Planner (P6).
  • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.
  • Training in design and construction document reading, design specifications, survey theory and techniques.
  • Experience in organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all aspects of construction.
  • Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills.
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work closely with a variety of trade and craft people in a field work situation.
  • Must be a strong team player with the ability to collaborate with various personnel.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding and or learnings in structural engineering principles.
  • Knowledgeable or understand basic mechanical, electrical and process systems.
  • Some knowledge in lean best manufacturing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret design, construction documents, technical manuals, and quantifying materials required for construction from the documents.
  • Write and publish meeting minutes, schedule graphs, and activity checklists.
  • Review and process submittal information and coordinate between multiple submittals to ensure the accuracy and functionality of each component of the various elements and systems.
  • Generate, receive, and distribute requests for information (RFI).
  • Receive and distribute change documents issued by other team members.
  • Field survey layout of control lines and benchmarks.
  • Serve as the technical advisor at the site field office.
