This is accomplished by leading a team of approximately 30 employees. The role involves enforcing compliance to standard operating procedures (SOPs), maintaining a safe work environment, and ensuring quality objectives are met, including adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Lead a team of approximately 30 employees to ensure timely deployment of people development plans.
  • Enforce compliance to standard operating procedures (SOPs) by all personnel within the team.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and update work instructions for all positions.
  • Conduct regular adherence checks to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and perform sanitation audits.
  • Participate in the prevention and correction of quality-related errors.
  • Coach employees to fulfill and exceed job requirements through continuous improvement.
  • Review daily progress against targets and report variances during meetings.
  • Develop and implement action plans to address root causes of failures.
  • Facilitate communication of key information to peers, team members, and Production Management.
  • Ensure continuous line controls and immediate corrective actions for quality compliance.
  • Manage employee relations to ensure smooth factory operations.
  • Ensure adequate distribution of skills to achieve production plans effectively.
  • Coordinate with quality, maintenance, and engineering for timely maintenance of installations.
  • Review daily maintenance effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Bachelor's degree AND 2 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment OR 5 years of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment OR 2 years in a leadership role in the United States Military.
  • Willingness to work extended days and/or weekends with flexibility to switch shifts.
  • Ability to work in a factory with extreme ambient conditions.
  • Experience in food processing or packaging.
  • Experience in Supply Chain and/or Inventory Control.
  • Experience in Quality and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a food processing environment.
  • 1 year of experience in a Continuous Improvement environment.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean, TPM, Six Sigma.
