About The Position

American Axle & Manufacturing has immediate & exceptional opportunities for Production Operators at our Three Rivers, MI facility. Entry level pay rate for a Production Operator is $18.00/hour plus shift premium. Responsibilities include numerous duties related to the machining and assembling of automotive axle components and final assemblies. A Production Operator position can include repetitive lifting, twisting and bending, in a factory setting. This opportunity will provide the candidate hands-on, day-to-day technical interaction within automotive manufacturing.

Requirements

High school or equivalent
Able to work any shift
Successfully complete a criminal and education background review
Successfully complete a pre-employment physical and drug screening
Ability to work on any shift does not mean a swing shift. We are a Unionized facility that in order for an Associate to shift preference to a different shift, they have to meet requirements such as having a high enough Seniority.
Be able to work weekends when volunteered for or required
Be highly motivated and have an interest in manufacturing
Have a history of safe work practices
Be a team player, who is flexible and easily adapts to change
