About The Position

AAM is searching for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team at the North Vernon location in North Vernon, IN. In this role, you will supervise employees involved in the installation and maintenance of electrical and/or mechanical equipment and machinery used in company operations. This includes overseeing the installation and maintenance of equipment and machinery, as well as the work of maintenance and maintenance support staff. You will be responsible for communicating expectations, providing direction and training to your team. AAM is a leading global Tier 1 Automotive and Mobility Supplier, designing, engineering, and manufacturing Driveline and Metal Forming technologies to support electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles. Requirements

  • High School diploma or similar.
  • 8+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • Maintenance experience in electrical, mechanical, and pneumatics
  • 2+ years of experience working in a leadership position
  • Ability to work across multiple shifts

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy maintenance environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations; immediately addressing issues and alerting others regarding potential concerns.
  • Supervise maintenance employee outcomes by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates.
  • Communicate job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions, and recommends compensation actions, adhering to defined policies and procedures.
  • Accomplish maintenance requirements by orienting, assigning, and coaching employees.
  • Meet maintenance standards by following productivity and quality standards; resolving problems.
  • Work with a cross functional team to meet cost standards by implementing cost-saving actions.
  • Fulfill shift operations plans by receiving operational report from previous shift and allocating resources, in addition to fulfilling current operational plan.
  • Complete shift operations by monitoring maintenance services, reallocating resources, and solving operational problems.
  • Document maintenance services by completing forms, reports, logs, and records, ensuring accuracy of data.
  • Contribute to maintenance and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results.
  • All other duties as assigned.
