About The Position

Sonaca North America is currently seeking multiple CNC Machinists to operate computer numerical control machines and conventional machines to fabricate parts. The role involves loading parts in machines, cycling machines, detecting malfunctions in machine operations such as worn or damaged cutting tools, running production lots, communicating with co-workers regarding production runs, and maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work environment. The position supports Sonaca North America’s Quality Policy, Mission Statement, and other policies and procedures by committing to total customer satisfaction, quality products and services, lean processes, continuous improvement, on-time delivery, safety, teamwork, individual accountability, and respect for people.

Requirements

• Previous experience with 4-Axis and/or 5-Axis Machining
• High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred
• Trade school for machining practices preferred
• Math skills to perform basic calculations
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
• Demonstrate attention to detail
• Ability to read measuring equipment (Calipers/Micrometers)
• Ability to concentrate, focus, and pay strict attention to detail independently

Responsibilities

• Run production on CNC machining center
• Check and monitor the parts that are being run
• Read the basic dimensions and tolerances of a blueprint
• Ensure quality standards are being met
• Produce the proper amount of parts per machine cycle time
• Deburr and blend all parts that are machined
• Perform daily maintenance on machines including maintaining fluid levels, emptying chips, and cleaning the machine
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Fill out and maintain paperwork as necessary
• Ensure attendance is consistent and punctual
