Off-Road Haul Truck - Third Shift
About The Position
Jefferson County Stone is an underground limestone mine/quarry seeking candidates to fill our need for an off-road Haul Truck Driver in Louisville, KY. The successful candidate for this position will have familiarity and experience operating rigid frame and/or articulated haul trucks and will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Operate haul trucks to move shot rock from the mine faces to the crusher and begin the crushing process. Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies. Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management. Effective communication skills applicable to position. Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency. Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment. Willingness to be cross trained on other heavy equipment.
Requirements
- Dedication to safe work practices.
- Previous experience operating both rigid frame haul trucks and/or articulating haul trucks preferred.
- Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties on the ground and in the plant as needed/directed.
- Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
- Able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.
- Pass pre-employment drug screen.
