About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 13 states with over 3,500 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States. Caldwell Stone is an open-pit limestone mine/quarry seeking an Off-Road Haul Truck Driver for our operation located in Danville, KY. The successful candidate for this position will have familiarity and experience operating rigid frame and/or articulated haul trucks and will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence.

Requirements

  • Dedication to safe work practices.
  • Previous experience operating both articulated and rigid frame haul trucks preferred.
  • Ability to perform general laborer and clean-up duties on the ground and in the plant as needed/directed when not operating equipment.
  • This role requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and safely climb up and down ladders or stairs to access equipment throughout the workday. These activities are essential job functions and must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours as needed.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating both articulated and rigid frame haul trucks

Responsibilities

  • Operate stockpile trucks, stockpiling material into proper piles and/or be willing to operate articulated haul trucks to load shot rock out of the quarry and to the crusher.
  • Perform daily pre-and post- inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
  • Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
  • Effective communication skills applicable to position.
  • Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
  • Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / Environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
