About The Position

The position involves operating an off-road haul truck to transport materials within a quarry. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials while adhering to company policies and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, 'Fit to Work' physical, and criminal background check.
• Must partner with other quarry employees as instructed by the facility manager to ensure daily schedules are met.
• Attendance required according to attendance policy to ensure crew ability to operate at a normal efficiency level.
• Physical ability to operate equipment under extreme temperatures and for extended hours of time.
• Initiative to perform/assist with other positions for job completions.
• Maintain a courteous and professional manner with co-workers, customers, and the general public.
• Ability to work various times during day, night, or weekend hours at various locations.
• Ability to follow MSHA/OSHA safety guidelines as well as those set forth by the company policy.
• Ability to follow instructions of supervisors/facility manager.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a haul truck to transport material.
• Perform daily pre-trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Move various controls with hands and feet to shift gears, steer, and raise the bed to empty the load.
• Grease equipment as needed.
• Climb, lift, and sit/driving as required for the job.
• Assist with other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job as assigned.
