About The Position

Martin Marietta is seeking an Off Highway Haul Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating haul trucks loaded with rock within the quarry. The Off-Highway haul truck driver will perform various maintenance duties in the quarry, safely and efficiently operate the pit and yard loaders, perform daily pre-shift inspections, and perform minor maintenance and repairs on the haul truck. Hours are 6:00 am - 5:00 pm including weekends and overtime as necessary.

Requirements

• Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• Have experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment and/or equipment used in processing plants.
• Have six (6) months experience as a haul truck driver or other related experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate haul trucks loaded with rock within the quarry.
• Perform various maintenance duties in the quarry.
• Safely and efficiently operate the pit and yard loaders.
• Perform daily pre-shift inspections.
• Perform minor maintenance and repairs on the haul truck.
• Participate in safety inspections and follow company and MSHA safety rules and regulations.
• Aid in loader production by breaking down surge piles and maintaining product pile as needed.
• Report needed repairs to the supervisor after performing pre-shift safety inspections.
• Perform preventative maintenance and services on mobile equipment.
• Maintain good housekeeping of equipment.
• Operate other equipment such as pit and yard loaders in a safe manner as needed.
• Aid in the training of co-workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
