About The Position
To enforce State Laws and City ordinances on PHR Campus. Provide a law enforcement presence in the ED and other assigned areas of the PHR Campus.
Requirements
- Education - High School diploma or equivalent OR post-high school diploma/highest degree earned
- Experience - No experience required.
- Current Certification in Basic Law Enforcement through the S.C. Criminal Justice Academy, currently employed by the City of Columbia Police Department.
Responsibilities
- Assists Security Services with enforcement of PH rules or regulations if requested.
- Assists PH Security Services Officer if assistance is requested.
- Completes official police incident and accident reports as they occur on PHR campus.
- Provides a direct liaison with CPD and PH.
- Provide a CPD vehicle on the PH campus as a deterrent
- Patrols key areas (i.e. Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit and other areas assigned by PH Security Services).
- Performs other duties as assigned.
