About The Position

The Off-Campus Housekeeper oversees and manages the housekeeping operations to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the tenants and customers of our various off-campus residential, retail and commercial facilities. This role is responsible for implementing cleaning protocols, managing inventory, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout various properties off campus. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Cleaning various commercial and retail properties as well as residential properties as needed for move-in and move-out. Inventory & Supplies Management Compliance & Safety Communication & Collaboration with Real Estate team Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner. Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s Christian model and Mission – Training Champions for Christ. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS Education and Experience A high school degree/GED or higher is required. Proven experience in housekeeping and janitorial service, preferably in both residential and commercial environments. Excellent knowledge of cleaning protocols, products, and equipment. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and compliance standards. Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities Ability to articulate and defend the unique Christian educational mission and vision of Liberty University and its subsidiaries to a wide variety of individuals and groups. To obtain LU-approved driver certification, individuals must be 21 years of age or older, possess a valid driver’s license with a minimum of five (5) years of documented driving history, and maintain a clean driving record. Individuals must not be in default on any federal student or parent loans Individuals must not be convicted of, or pled nolo contendere or guilty to, a crime involving the acquisition, use, or expenditure of federal, state, or local government funds, -or- be administratively or judicially determined to have committed fraud or any other material violation of law involving federal, state, or local government funds (CFR 668.14(b)(18)(i)) ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL TO THE FUNCTION OF THE JOB Communication and Comprehension Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to convey clear, well articulated information. Ability to understand, speak, and write English in order to convey messages and correspond in an articulate and professional manner. Possess public communication skills that allow professional representation of Liberty University and its subsidiaries. Strong organizational skills. Basic computer skills Problem Solving Intuitively able to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to solve problems of both a routine and complex nature. Physical and Sensory Abilities May be required to sit to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard. Regularly required to hear and speak to effectively communicate orally. Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb stairs to move about the campus. Handle materials, reach overhead, kneel or stoop to conduct business. Regularly lift 20 or fewer pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS Work Environment The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled setting. It is well-lighted, and the noise level is moderate. However, at times (and rarely) you may need to work in a building or dwelling that does not have current heating or cooling. Driving Requirements Use of one’s personal vehicle may be required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.
