About The Position

The Graduate Assistant for Off-Campus Living & Signature Events supports student success by coordinating off-campus living resources and experiences that empower students to thrive beyond the university. This position will also support Dean of Students events and play a collaboration role with many of our signature events.

Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled graduate student (taking at least 9 hours)
  • Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Off-Campus Support: Assist the Off-Campus Coordinator with off-campus tasks, projects and programs.
  • Serve as a facilitator for off-campus living presentations to students/family/community members. The Graduate Assistant will assist with keeping track of the presentation schedule and monitoring presentation requests.
  • Coordinate and hold meetings with campus and community partners especially those related to property outreach initiatives.
  • Create off-campus living materials such as guides for off-campus students and content for communications campaigns.
  • Programming Support: Help plan and coordinate events tailored to students and provide day of support for large-scale Dean of Students events.
  • Serve as an Office of the Dean of Students representative at tabling events such as resource fairs.
  • Programing assignments will be made based on office need, employee interest, class schedules and supervisor discretion.
  • Other Duties as Assigned: The Graduate Assistants will collaborate as a member of the Office of the Dean of Students team, attend departmental meetings as available, and assist with other unit initiatives as appropriate and needed.
