About The Position

At Amazon, we're looking for a Production Engineer to join our dynamic Event Productions team. You'll help create and deliver exceptional live experiences for Amazon's largest on and off-campus events, both in-person and via livestream. What you'll do: • Design, program, and operate live events ranging from corporate meetings to concerts. • Provide technical direction for audio, video, lighting, and livestreaming. • Support hybrid events through both onsite and remote operations. • Install and optimize Production equipment in various venues. • Collaborate with event organizers and AV teams to deliver excellent experiences. • Travel up to 50% to support global events. A Production Engineer's role is to operate production equipment during live events that are hosted by our internal Amazon customers experienced by internal or external attendees. The Production Engineer will work alongside Producers, peers and customers to deliver high quality event experiences. This work will encompass all stages of the event process including production preparation, set, execution and strike. Production Engineers will travel regionally and globally to provide operational support for events taking place outside of Amazon's campus as needed. This role will also be responsible for supporting livestream events both in-person and remotely, as necessary. You'll join a collaborative group focused on delivering high-quality event experiences for internal and external audiences. We value innovation, customer obsession, and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in live event production and livestreaming
  • Strong technical knowledge of integrated Production systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience creating signal flow diagrams and technical documentation
  • Commitment to safety and industry best practices
  • Flexibility to support various technical roles as needed
  • High school or equivalent diploma
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Strong experience working with Elemental products (Encoders)
  • Strong knowledge in AWS livestreaming products (Elemental MediaLive, MediaPackage)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting video conference and teleconference equipment
  • Experience with Ross video switchers
  • Experience programming lighting consoles
  • Experience as Front of House audio engineer

Responsibilities
