OFE Coordinator

Overwatch Mission CriticalAmarillo, TX

About The Position

The Site OFE Coordinator is the central point of contact for all Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) on-site. This role ensures that multi-million dollar equipment—critical to data center operations—is accurately tracked, communicated, and delivered without delaying the construction schedule. You act as the primary liaison between the vendors, the General Contractor (GC), and the Owner’s project team.

Requirements

  • Logistical Precision
  • Managers want to know if the candidate can track hundreds of pieces of equipment simultaneously. Do they have a system for ensuring nothing "falls through the cracks"?
  • Conflict Resolution ("The Middle Man")
  • This role sits between the vendor (who may be late) and the GC (who needs the gear now). Can the candidate navigate these high-pressure conversations and find a middle ground?
  • Proactive Communication
  • The client doesn't want to find out there is a delay on the day the truck is supposed to arrive. Managers are looking for someone who identifies risks weeks in advance.
  • Technical Familiarity
  • While not an engineering role, the candidate needs to understand what they are looking at (e.g., Chillers, Generators, Switchgear) to accurately report on quality or delivery issues.
  • For roles that require on-site presence or travel between work locations as an essential function of the position, candidates must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license appropriate for the role and be eligible to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with applicable laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in a professional work environment, including preparing written reports and documentation, conveying information clearly to team members, clients, and stakeholders, and responding appropriately to verbal and written communications related to job duties.
  • Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Must be able to drive between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
  • Must be able to tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction-related noise, vibrations, and odors.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and site personnel, and maintain situational awareness in high-activity environments.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety vests, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots, is required.
  • Must have sufficient visual acuity to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.

Responsibilities

  • Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination
  • Primary Interface: Serve as the main link between equipment vendors and the site-level GC management team.
  • Meeting Leadership: Lead weekly Site OFE Meetings to ensure all parties are aligned on delivery dates and installation requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate off-site equipment activities with the GC and subcontractors to ensure site readiness.
  • Risk & Schedule Management
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and escalate any logistical or manufacturing risks that could impact site progress.
  • Schedule Oversight: Conduct regular reviews of the construction schedule to ensure equipment deliveries align with the "critical path."
  • Delay Notification: Immediately notify stakeholders of potential vendor delays or quality issues and collaborate on corrective action plans.
  • Financial & Quality Tracking
  • PO Change Management: Track and report on site-level Purchase Order (PO) changes, ensuring all financial adjustments are documented.
  • Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on delivery milestones and verify that arriving equipment meets all quality compliance standards.
  • Document Control: Maintain accurate logs of all equipment-related correspondence and technical specifications.
