About The Position

The Procurement Manager - OFCI is responsible for the end-to-end procurement of owner-furnished equipment for large-scale, mission-critical data center developments. This role ensures that long-lead and high-value electrical, mechanical, and infrastructure equipment is strategically sourced, contracted, manufactured, delivered, and handed over in alignment with project schedules, cost targets, technical requirements, and long-term operational performance. The role acts as a critical interface between central Procurement and Design, Construction, Engineering, Operations, Commercial, and key supply chain partners. It requires strong commercial acumen, proactive risk management, and close coordination with OEMs and integrators to ensure equipment is delivered right first time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated professional experience
  • Significant experience in OFCI procurement for mission-critical or data center projects
  • Strong understanding of equipment manufacturing processes and long-lead procurement dynamics
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects within fast paced, schedule driven environments
  • Established and proven relationships with key OFCI manufacturers
  • Supply chain and schedule-driven risk management

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of OFCI procurement strategies aligned with project schedules, design maturity, and long term portfolio objectives
  • Lead end to end RFP execution, including bidder engagement, bid levelling, commercial negotiations, and contract award in accordance with Yondr procurement processes
  • Drive early procurement actions and framework agreements to secure manufacturing capacity and mitigate long lead equipment and schedule risk
  • Develop, maintain, and control OFCI equipment lists and procurement schedules throughout the project lifecycle
  • Actively review specifications and drawings to identify inconsistencies, gaps, or inaccuracies, coordinating resolutions with design, engineering and project stakeholders
  • Lead procurement of OFCI scopes including, but not limited to: ○ Electrical systems: HV/MV switchgear, generators, transformers, UPS, PDUs, STS, switchboards, and substation related equipment ○ Mechanical systems: chillers, CRAHs, RTUs, Fan Walls, AHUs, CDUs, liquid and hybrid cooling solutions ○ Other categories as needed
  • Establish and manage strategic relationships with OEMs, manufacturers, and integrators.
  • Assess supplier capacity, financial stability, lead times, and production slot availability through Yondr’s Supplier Prequalification Process and market surveys.
  • Work with Commercial and Legal teams to implement Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreements and Master Service Equipment Agreements (MSEA).
  • Work with Suppliers, OFCI Coordinator/MEP PM/General Contractor to monitor fabrication progress, FWTs, logistics, and delivery milestones.
  • Support supplier performance management including KPIs, SLAs, QBRs, and continuous improvement actions.
  • Drive cost certainty through early engagement, volume leverage, and long-term agreements.
  • Manage commercial terms including payment milestones, change control, warranties, and risk allocation.
  • Support CapEx planning and cash-flow forecasting in collaboration with the Commercial team.
  • Partner with Design, Engineering and Operations to ensure equipment compliance with specifications and standards.
  • Coordinate with Construction teams on logistics, site constraints, installation readiness, and interfaces.
  • Support QA/QC, commissioning, and turnover requirements for OFCI equipment.
  • Maintain procurement schedules, risk registers, and status reporting for project and executive leadership.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate supply-chain and delivery risks, both off-site and on-site.
  • Capture lessons learned and embed best practices into RFPs, procurement processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Yondr procurement policy, supplier code of conduct, and ESG objectives.
