At Samtec, we develop mid-board optical transceivers, these transceivers provide high density bandwidth interconnect (Gb/s/mm^2) and low powers. By mounting mid-board, the signal integrity challenges within PCB traces can be overcome. Such assemblies also provide key capabilities for onboard, in-rack, and other applications where front faceplate transceivers are not applicable.

Manage all aspects of new product development programs, from concept approval through production release.
Collaborate closely with engineering discipline experts to ensure products are well-developed for manufacturing.
Coordinate product improvements and sustainment with cross-functional teams.
Define best practices and mentor teams of product engineers.
Participate in the selection of additive manufacturing materials and develop reliable process windows.
Lead technical teams in designing and developing optical transceiver products.
Plan and execute test development activities for optical products.

Proven competence in a key engineering discipline such as Electrical Engineering, RF-optics, Signal Integrity, Mechanical Engineering, optics, thermal, or firmware.
Expertise in mechanical design, engineering documentation, FEA, tolerance analysis, thermal transfer, and micromechanical analysis.
Experience in evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems.
Ability to translate product requirements into project metrics and execute prototype bring-up and validation.
