About The Position

The OFAC Funds Transfer Specialist at Regions is responsible for processing and reviewing wire transfers to ensure compliance with the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) regulations. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Six (6) years of operations or related experience
• Knowledge and experience in processing wire transfers
• Investigation and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently
• Efficient in handling peak work volumes
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Strong computer skills
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience processing wire transfers is highly preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

• Processes incoming and outgoing wire transfers
• Reviews funds transfers for potential OFAC matches
• Investigates true OFAC matches and contacts branches, customers, and other banks to clear potential matches
• Documents findings and reports to management and internal compliance department for final review
• Responds to inquiries by email and telephone
• Offers guidance to more junior specialists
