Summary DLA Piper seeks an antitrust lawyer with 8+ years’ experience in Hart-Scott-Rodio Act (HSR) filings to join its Antitrust & Competition Group. In this role, the person would collaborate with other antitrust lawyers at the firm to support transactions including, mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures. Because this is intended as a specialist role, candidates should have substantial experience preparing HSR filings and familiarity with global merger control processes. Relevant government experience is preferred but not required. This position is open to all of our US offices but candidates in DC, New York, and Philadelphia are preferred.

Requirements

  • Superior research, analytical, and writing skills are highly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team, are a must.
  • The ability to multi-task and prioritize is also required.
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail is critical to success.
  • JD Degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission in the bar for the jurisdiction in which you are applying
  • 8 Direct and applicable AmLaw 100 firm experience.
  • Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties
  • Produce deliverables, answer phone calls, and reply to correspondence in an efficient and responsive manner
  • Provide timely, accurate, and quality work product
  • Successfully meet deadlines, expectations, and perform work duties as required
  • Foster positive work relationships
  • Comply with all firm policies and practices
  • Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned.
