About The Position

Nelson Mullins is seeking an attorney to join its litigation team in San Diego. This role can be located in San Diego, Torrance, or Downtown Los Angeles. As an AmLaw65 law firm, this will offer a unique opportunity to a candidate who wants to be part of a dynamic team in a growing location and join a tenured team. The ideal candidate has strong complex civil and commercial litigation experience working in a mid-size or large law firm.

Requirements

• At least 8+ years of meaningful litigation experience in complex litigation, class action, and products liability.
• Ability to draft and prepare pleadings and discovery.
• Experience in preparing for, taking, and defending depositions.
• Strong case management skills.
• Outstanding written and oral advocacy skills.
• Excellent academic credentials.
• Admitted and in good standing with the California Bar.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with the Song-Beverly Act, including pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
• Entrepreneurial spirit.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of trial lawyers and litigators practicing in complex litigation, products liability defense, and class action litigation.
• Draft and prepare pleadings and discovery.
• Prepare for, take, and defend depositions.
• Manage document production.
• Argue discovery and other motions.
• Adeptly manage cases.
