About The Position

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must have 3 months to 2 years of ACI experience or related outside experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.

Nice To Haves

• Basic computer software skills.
• Prior work experience in machine grinding is helpful but not required.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand the operation of grinding machines (ID, Jig, and OD).
• Report any machine problems to management.
• Use and read micrometers, c-micrometers, and bore gauges.
• Indicate or 'zero' parts on machines.
• Grind parts to specifications as outlined on 'Travelers'.
• Familiarize with the company computer system for tracking parts and documentation.
• Read and understand ACI procedures and shop work instructions.
• Check tolerances of parts using C-mics, Tri-mics, bore gauges, and calipers.
• Complete set-ups on machines and grind to specific tolerances.
• Maintain all assigned equipment properly.
• Follow the 'time in location' priority list.
